The art exhibition of "hand to heart, cloth making clothes" sponsored by the Art Institute of Soochow University and the Institute of Arts and crafts of Soochow University has been unveiled at the exhibition center of Su Da art college.

Yao Yun, a young designer from Suzhou without two costume design studio, describes the new concept of slow down clothing and simple life through his collection and works.

Yao, born in Suzhou embroidery family, loved all kinds of traditions from an early age.

After choosing fashion design major, she began the practice of using endangered handicraft in contemporary design.

Her attempt was to start from scratch. The traditional silk, cotton and linen materials were made by specialized workshops, and a flower machine and a weaver in the exhibition hall reappeared the Chinese tradition.

Weaving scenes; various preparations made from natural dyes such as madder, tea tree fruit and pomegranate peel are the practical results of designers looking for traditional dyeing processes; from design to plate cutting, and sewing to finished garments at the last stitch, there are still some records of a total of over 1000 stitches or more than 2000 stitches in the exhibition hall.
