Textile And Clothing

After two months of demonstrations in textile and garment workers in Bangladesh, the Wage Commission, which was temporarily constituted by three representatives of the government, garment manufacturers and trade unions, decided to adjust the minimum wage for garment and garment workers on the 27 day. From the current monthly 1662.5 Taka (about 162 yuan) to 3000 monthly taka (about 291 yuan), the increase was 80%.

With the increasing cost of labor in China and Vietnam, many well-known Western low-end clothing brands have moved their factories to Bangladesh with lower wage levels, making the textile industry an important economic pillar. Bangladesh's textile exports reached US $1 billion 72 million last month, marking the highest monthly export earning record in 40 years.

However, the standard of living of textile workers in Bangladesh in 3 million has not been raised, but on the contrary, there has been a downward trend.
