Brazil'S Preliminary Anti Dumping Ruling On China India Polyester Yarn

On September 30, 2021, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretary's Notice No. 64 of 2021 was published in the Federal Government Gazette. It said that the preliminary anti dumping decision was made on polyester fiber yarn (except sewing thread) not for retail use originating in China and India, including synthetic fiber monofilament with fineness below 67 decibels, A preliminary ruling was made that the products involved in the case of the above countries had been dumped and the dumping had caused damage to Brazil's domestic industry, but no temporary measures were taken for the time being. The tax codes of the products involved are 5402.33.10, 5402.33.20 and 5402.33.90.

On March 5, 2021, the Brazilian Foreign Trade Secretary's Notice No. 18 of 2021 was published in the Federal Government Gazette. According to the application of the Brazilian man-made and synthetic fiber Products Association (abrafas), an anti-dumping investigation was initiated against polyester fiber yarns (except sewing thread) originating in China and India, including synthetic fiber monofilaments with fineness below 67 decibels.
